New York

Travel guide

By Sarah Kyliee

Hi babes! I went to New York in December and finally got around to writing a blog post about this trip, and sharing photos! I received SO many dm’s throughout the week while I was there about where I went and details about my trip, so I decided to write a New York travel guide for you!

It was my first time to New York and it really is a magical place. There’s so much to do and it’s almost impossible to see everything you want to see in one trip. I went to NY with my Grandma Red and cousin Mikayla, and we each picked a main thing we wanted to make sure to see while we were there.

On our first full day, we went to Alice’s Tea Cup for lunch. This place is so fun if you love tea! We always have a tea party wherever we go with our grandma, so we had to go somewhere in New York. We ordered tea sandwiches, deserts, and three different teas. This place is right by Central park, so after we finished tea and lunch, we walked to the park. Once we got there, we saw the John Lennon memorial and then took a carriage ride to see the whole park. I definitely recommend taking the carriage ride. We sat and enjoyed the ride instead of walking all over not knowing where we were lol, it’s a huge park!

The second day, we went to Pietro Nolita for brunch. The food here is amazing! I highly recommend going to Pietro Nolita if you are in the area. After, we went to the Empire State building. The views from the very top are breathtaking and I’m so happy we were able to go see this with our grandma! We all felt like we were on top of the world while we were up there. We had such a fun day with our grandma and then went to Rolf’s with some friends who live in New York. It was so nice seeing friends we haven’t seen in awhile.

On our last day in NY, we woke up and went to Magnolia Bakery. Of course we had to get the famous bread pudding! It was so delicious and melt in my mouth. After, we walked around in that area and went in all the shops. The last day was more low-key because we were so tired from traveling and being on the go. The last night we went to this fun cocktail bar called “While We Were Young” and it was this super cute hole in the wall bar with fun looking cocktails. I ordered the “If you’re a bird, i’m a bird” cocktail and it came in this glass bird with rosemary! Highly recommend this place!

We woke up early on our last morning to watch the sunset and walk around our hotel to get last minute pictures before our flight. While walking around, my cousin and I found this cute coffee shop called “About Coffee” and we got hot chai’s. We headed back to our hotel after and left for the airport.

Our New York trip was a trip we will always remember with our grandma!
